Abstract
The October Oil Field is physically difficult due to its location in the Gulf of Suez Rift Basin area. The current study focusses on the structural factors affecting this massive field in order to update the field structural model with the freshly processed 3D seismic survey, data from newly drilled wells, and the various logging techniques. Geological structure contour maps and cross-sections were created to better understand the reservoir's extent. Based on the extensive correlation analysis, we were able to identify the faults that had a significant impact on the structure of the October Field, specify their throw amounts and orientations, and identify the missing sections across the examined area. This study presents a comparison of the old and new model scenarios to demonstrate the differences and their impact on the field development strategy and recommendations. This study discovered that a 3D structural model may assist Nubia reservoir development plans and stimulate drilling, workover, and dynamic operations by assigning development possibilities to the appropriate locations. Based on the created model, there are at least three opportunities in the study's attic areas to boost oil output and reserves while preventing further failures.
